My name is Dylan Good. As a software developer with Good Life Coding, my primary role involves designing, coding, testing, maintaining software applications, and website development. I continuously strive to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in the field to enhance my skills and contribute effectively to the development process.
What inspired me to pursue coding and software development? Throughout high school, I harbored a strong desire to become a software developer due to my fascination with computers and their inner workings. After graduating, I began dabbling in coding but felt uncertain about where to start. Other career obligations temporarily diverted my attention from coding. I explored alternative paths, spending two years as a welder before transitioning to the automotive field. Over the following six years, I became a certified heavy technician, specializing in engines and cylinder heads. I continue to work in this field while also pursuing my passion for coding.
A significant accomplishment or achievement that I am proud of is my childhood hobby of meticulously assembling large Lego sets. While seemingly trivial to some, this early interest in building and problem-solving laid the foundation for my success in welding and automotive repair. Similarly, I perceive coding as a process of assembling code snippets to create something greater.
Persistence stands out as one of my greatest strengths. I tackle challenges with a determined mindset, always ready to learn and adapt. Additionally, I possess strong learning abilities, enabling me to quickly grasp new concepts and skills.
My passions for motorcycling and exploring the mountains have significantly influenced my life. These experiences have reignited my interest in coding, as it offers the flexibility to work remotely and pursue my outdoor interests.
My ultimate goal is to become a proficient and accomplished full-stack developer.
